What is a Morgoil-type oil and which grades do you stock?
Morgoil is the oil-film bearing system used on rolling-mill roll necks; the oils are high-viscosity (ISO VG 150-460) circulating oils with exceptional demulsibility so scale-laden water separates fast in the cellar tanks. We stock Veedol, GS Caltex and Balmerol equivalents with used-oil analysis support to manage water content and additive life.
Which fire-resistant hydraulic fluid should a continuous caster use?
Casters and ladle-turret hydraulics near liquid steel should run HFC water-glycol fluid (ISO 12922) — or HFDU synthetic ester where higher lubricity is needed. We supply Castrol Anvol HFC/HFDU via our group company Vasundhara Specialities, with changeover support (system flush, seal-compatibility check, water-content monitoring).
What grease survives caster segments and kiln support rollers?
Calcium-sulfonate complex NLGI 2 grease is the steel-industry standard for 150-200°C bearing service with water and scale exposure — high dropping point (300°C+), inherent EP, excellent water washout resistance. Lithium-complex grades cover lower-temperature auxiliary bearings at better cost.
