Swipe the table sideways to see all 3 columns →
| Fluid class | Best suited to | Watch-outs |
|---|---|---|
| Soluble (emulsifiable) oil | General turning, milling and drilling; run as a 5–10% milky emulsion | Bacterial growth and tramp oil; check concentration weekly with a refractometer |
| Semi-synthetic coolant | Higher-speed CNC work, mixed materials, cleaner-running shops | Water hardness affects emulsion stability — test your make-up water |
| Full synthetic solution | Grinding and operations where cooling dominates | Little residual oil film — guard machine ways against corrosion |
| Neat cutting oil (undiluted) | Severe, lubricity-driven cuts — tapping, broaching, gear hobbing, deep-hole drilling | Mist and smoke at high speeds; match EP additive chemistry to the alloy |
We stock Veedol metalworking fluids (the Solucut and Adacut ranges) and Balmer Lawrie Balmocut soluble oils in Secunderabad for dispatch within 2 working days, with Castrol Industrial metalworking fluids available through group company Vasundhara Specialities. For fluid husbandry — concentration control, tramp-oil skimming and sump-life extension — see our coolant management service and the CNC coolant selection guide.
Cutting oils are straight mineral oils for heavy-duty machining, while cutting fluids are water-based emulsions providing better cooling. We supply both types from Veedol and GS Caltex to match specific machining requirements.
Typically every 3-6 months depending on usage and contamination levels. Regular monitoring prevents tool wear and ensures dimensional accuracy. Our technical team recommends change intervals for your specific operations.
Mixing different cutting oils is not recommended as additives may react negatively. We recommend standardising on one brand across your facility for consistent performance and easier maintenance.
Bacterial growth, moisture contamination, and oxidation are primary causes. Proper sealed storage, moisture control, and timely changes prevent these issues. Premium synthetic oils resist degradation longer.
Synthetics offer superior temperature stability and longer drain intervals but cost more. Mineral-based oils work well for conventional machines. The choice depends on your equipment and production volume.
Never dispose into drains or landfills. We work with authorised recycling partners for proper environmental disposal in Hyderabad and surrounding areas. Contact our team for disposal protocols.
We supply overseas buyers and project sites on an order-driven basis — consolidated shipments from India with full export documentation (Certificate of Origin, MSDS, UN-approved packing where required) on your preferred Incoterm. See industrial export supply or send your requirement with destination port to our export desk.
