Structural Steel & Fabrication Supplies — India
A fabrication shop runs on three purchase streams that rarely come from one place: welding and cutting consumables, machine fluids for the press brakes, shears and rolls, and the safety kit that keeps an insurer and a factory inspector satisfied. We carry all three, from manufacturers we are authorised by, and we quote by designation with the maker’s own datasheet attached — not by generic description.
Why Fabricators Consolidate Here
One Order Across Consumables, Fluids and Safety
Electrodes, wire, flux, gas-cutting consumables, hydraulic and gear oils, slideway oil, compressor oil, greases, fire protection and surge protection on one purchase order and one invoice. For a shop of thirty to two hundred people that is a working week a year returned to the purchase department, and one number to call when a delivery is short.
Consumables Quoted by AWS Class, Not by Nickname
Every electrode and wire is quoted by its manufacturer designation and its AWS classification together — Supabase E7018, Superbond E6013, Tenalloy 16W E7016, Topstar 140 E7024 — so your WPS reviewer and your third-party inspector are reading the same string your storekeeper is. Nicknames cause rejections at TPI stage; designations do not.
Electrode Storage and Re-Baking Advice, Free
Most weld-metal hydrogen problems in an Indian fabrication shop are storage problems, not procedure problems. Basic-coated low-hydrogen electrodes exposed to Hyderabad monsoon humidity for a shift will not give you the properties on the certificate. We will look at how your consumables are stored and issued, and tell you plainly whether you need a holding oven or just a better issuing discipline.
Machine Fluids Matched to the Machine, Not the Drum Price
A press brake with proportional valves and a twenty-year-old mechanical shear do not want the same hydraulic oil. We will read the machine manual and quote the right ISO grade and additive type, and say when the cheaper mineral grade is genuinely fine — which is more often than a lubricant salesman would like to admit.
Stocked in Secunderabad, Dispatched Same Day
Bulk warehouse in Hyderabad with same-day dispatch on stocked lines across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and pan-India through our group network. Electrodes by the carton or the tonne; oils in 20 L pails, 210 L barrels, 1000 L IBCs and tankers.
GeM and PSU Documentation Handled
GeM and Udyam registered. Batch test certificates, mill certificates, MSDS, OEM authorisation letters and BIS conformance documentation supplied with despatch — the paperwork that decides whether a PSU or railway sub-contract order gets paid on time.
What We Supply a Fabrication Shop
Manual Metal Arc Electrodes — Ador
The structural workhorses: Superbond E6013 for general mild-steel fabrication and positional work, Supabase E7018 low-hydrogen basic for structural connections, pressure parts and anything with a notch-toughness requirement, Tenalloy 16W E7016 where a basic electrode with easier arc handling suits the operator, and Topstar 140 E7024 iron-powder for high-deposition downhand fillet work on heavy sections. Supplied in sealed vacuum packs or standard cartons, with batch certificates.
MIG, TIG and Submerged Arc
Ador Automig solid MIG wire for semi-automatic and robotic fabrication cells, Ador Tigfil TIG filler rod for root passes and thin-section work, and Ador Automelt submerged-arc wire and flux combinations for long girder seams, plate girders, crane box sections and pressure-vessel longitudinal work. We quote wire and flux together, because they are qualified together.
Stainless, Duplex and Dissimilar Joints
Ador Superinox 1C, 2C and 1B for the standard austenitic grades, Superinox 312 for unknown and difficult-to-weld combinations, Betanox DL (E309L-16) for carbon-to-stainless transitions and buffer layers, and Betanox 4462 (E2209-16) for 2205 duplex. Correct filler selection on a dissimilar joint is the difference between a weld that lasts and one that cracks at the fusion line in service.
Profile Cutting and Gouging
Ador King Cut profile-cutting systems and consumables for plate cutting, plus gouging carbons and cutting accessories for the fit-up bay. Ador Champ welding machines and rectifier sets where the shop is adding capacity rather than consumables.
Wear Protection on Handling Steelwork
Ador Fontech Zedalloy hardfacing electrodes and flux-cored wires for rebuilding worn plate-handling equipment, roll shells, guides and material chutes, plus weld-overlay clad wear plate and alumina-ceramic-lined pipe and elbows where a wear point is being rebuilt more than twice a year. Grade selection and published deposit hardness are quoted from the manufacturer’s current datasheet, supplied with the quotation. We will say when lining once is cheaper than hardfacing repeatedly.
Press Brake, Shear and Roll Hydraulics
Balmerol Protomac H in the published grades H-32, H-46, H-68, H-100, H-150, H-220, H-320 and H-460, or Balmerol Protomac HLP 32/46/68, Veedol Avalon HLP in ISO VG 32, 46 and 68 — the Avalon HLP datasheet cites IS 11656, DIN 51524 Part 2 HLP, Bosch Rexroth RD 90220, Eaton and Parker HF-0/1/2 — and GS Caltex Kixx HYDRO HD or Kixx HYDRO AW where the machine calls for a Korean-OEM channel oil. Kixx HYDRO AF is the zinc-free option for shops with an effluent-discharge condition on their consent to operate.
Gearboxes, Slideways and Compressors
Drive and reduction gearboxes on Balmerol Protomac SP Series or Veedol Apreslube, both ISO VG 68 through 1000, meeting IS 8406 for enclosed industrial gear oils and published against DIN 51517 Part 3, ISO 12925-1 CKC/CKD and the DIN 51354 FZG scuffing test. Machine slideways on Kixx WAY LUBE ISO 68 and 220 or Veedol Anodrip. Shop-air compressors on Kixx Compressor Oil 68 mineral, or Kixx Comsyn ISO 46/68 PAO synthetic where the compressor runs continuously and drain intervals are the cost driver.
Greases for Cranes, Rolls and Fixtures
Balmerol Liprex EP Series for general plant bearings, Balmerol MP 3 (N) lithium grease for the crane and conveyor points, Balmerol CCSM HT calcium sulfonate complex where heat, water and shock load arrive together, and Kixx GREASE EP 0, 1 and 2, Kixx GREASE MOLY EP 2 and Kixx GREASE LIPLEX 2 for centralised systems and open gearing.
Fire and Electrical Protection
A fabrication shop stores oil, oxygen, fuel gas and a great deal of combustible packaging. HD Fire Protect sprinklers, deluge valves, foam systems and monitors for the oil store, paint booth and gas manifold area, sized against IS 15105 for sprinkler system design and IS 9972 for sprinkler heads. Citel Type 1 and Type 2 surge protective devices to IEC 61643-11 on the incomer, the CNC cutting table supply, welding-machine control cabinets and the weighbridge — a burnt CNC controller card is a long lead time and a stopped shop.
Where It Goes in the Shop
Cutting and Preparation Bay
CNC profile cutting tables, plasma and oxy-fuel torches, gouging stations, edge preparation and bevelling machines, magnetic drills. Consumables plus a surge protective device on the CNC supply and a compressor oil that will not carry over into the plasma gas stream.
Fit-Up and Assembly
Tack welding, jigs and fixtures, positioners and turning rolls, EOT and jib cranes, manipulators. Positioner and turning-roll gearboxes on ISO VG 220–320 industrial gear oil, crane long-travel and cross-travel bearings on lithium EP grease.
Welding Bays
MMAW booths, MIG and pulsed-MIG cells, TIG for stainless and thin section, submerged arc for long seams. Electrode holding ovens, portable quivers, wire feeders and fume extraction. Consumables issued by designation against the WPS.
Forming and Machining
Press brakes, shears, plate rolls, section benders, drilling lines, radial drills, planer-millers. Hydraulic oil to the machine maker’s ISO grade, slideway oil on the ways and tables, cutting fluid at the drill line — Veedol Solucut soluble or Veedol Adacut and Kixx CUTTING OIL SL neat, chosen by the operation rather than by habit.
Blasting, Painting and Despatch

Fabrication Clusters — Our Service Area
The clusters below describe where we deliver — they are the fabrication belts inside our service radius, not a customer list. The companies we have supplied are listed on our about page.
- Balanagar, Jeedimetla and Medchal (Telangana): Hyderabad’s oldest general-engineering and structural fabrication belt — job shops, pressure-part fabricators, sheet-metal works and machine builders, mostly 20–150 people. Same-day dispatch from our Secunderabad warehouse.
- Patancheru, Bollaram and Kazipally (Telangana): Heavier plate fabrication, tank and vessel work, structural steel for the chemical and pharmaceutical plants in the same corridor. Larger consumable volumes and a stronger documentation requirement.
- Cherlapally, Nacharam and Uppal (Telangana): Industrial estates with a dense mix of fabrication, machining and assembly units, plus rail-linked despatch. Convenient for consolidated weekly deliveries.
- Visakhapatnam and Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh): Heavy structural, pressure-vessel and pipe-spool fabrication serving the refinery, port and power corridor, with a large sub-contractor ecosystem around the industrial estates.
- Chennai, Bengaluru and Pune corridors: Automotive-adjacent fabrication, machine-tool builders and capital-equipment manufacturers. Supplied through our group network with consolidated billing and a single point of contact.
- Pan-India project supply: Site fabrication for plant erection, boiler and structural packages anywhere in India, dispatched against project schedules with batch traceability maintained per consignment.
Beyond Supply — What We Do at Your Shop
Consumable Consolidation Review
Most fabrication stores carry two or three electrodes that do the same job because different foremen ordered them over the years. We map what you actually buy against what you actually weld, and usually reduce the SKU count by a third without touching a single WPS. Delivered in seven to ten days.
Electrode Storage and Handling Audit
A walk-through of receipt, storage, oven practice, issuing and return of unused rods, with a written note of what to change. Low-hydrogen consumables lose their certificate properties quickly in this climate, and almost every shop is losing more than it thinks.
Hydraulic Oil Condition Monitoring
Sample-and-test programme for press brakes, shears and rolls — viscosity, acid number, particle count and water content, trended against your own baseline rather than a generic limit. Reports timed to your planned shutdowns.
Fluid Schedule for the Whole Shop
One document listing every machine, its fill point, the grade, the quantity and the interval, so a new maintenance hand can do the round correctly on day one. Usually consolidates a fabrication shop from fifteen or twenty products down to seven or eight.
Fire System Sizing Support
Working from your layout and occupancy, we produce an equipment schedule for the oil store, paint booth and gas manifold areas against IS 15105 and IS 9972, so what you tender for is what an inspector will accept.
Surge Protection Survey
A device-by-device look at what is worth protecting — CNC controllers, welding machine electronics, weighbridge, PLC panels — with Citel Type 1 and Type 2 selection to IEC 61643-11 and a note of what does not need protecting, which is usually most of it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Ador electrode should a structural shop stock as its workhorse?
For general mild-steel structural work in the 250–350 MPa range, Superbond E6013 covers the bulk of positional and light fabrication, and Supabase E7018 low-hydrogen basic covers connections, heavier sections and anything with a notch-toughness or third-party-inspection requirement. Topstar 140 E7024 earns its place where you have long downhand fillets and deposition rate is the constraint. Most shops we review are carrying five or six electrodes where three would do. The right answer is set by your WPS, not by our stock list — send us the procedure and we will quote against it.
Do you supply submerged arc wire and flux as a matched combination?
Yes. Ador Automelt wire and flux are qualified as a combination, and mixing a wire from one maker with a flux from another invalidates the combination your procedure was qualified on. We quote the pair together with the batch certificates for both, which is what a third-party inspector will ask to see at the weld-procedure stage.
What hydraulic oil does a CNC press brake need?
Read the machine manual first — most modern press brakes with proportional or servo valves call for an anti-wear hydraulic oil at ISO VG 46, occasionally 32 in a cold-start environment. Balmerol Protomac H-46, Veedol Avalon HLP 46 and GS Caltex Kixx HYDRO HD 46 all meet the mainstream anti-wear requirement; Avalon HLP’s datasheet additionally cites Bosch Rexroth RD 90220, Eaton and Parker HF-0/1/2, which matters if your brake carries one of those pump makes. If you have an effluent-discharge condition, Kixx HYDRO AF is the zinc-free alternative.
Can you supply on GeM for a railway or PSU sub-contract?
We are GeM and Udyam registered and quote through the portal under its normal procurement modes — Direct Purchase, Bidding, Reverse Auction and Rate Contract. We supply batch test certificates, MSDS, OEM authorisation letters and BIS conformance documentation with despatch, which is usually what decides whether a sub-contract consignment clears inspection and gets paid on schedule.
How quickly can you deliver in Hyderabad?
Same-day dispatch on stocked lines within Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from our Secunderabad warehouse, typically next-morning delivery in the Balanagar, Jeedimetla, Patancheru and Cherlapally belts. Pan-India is three to seven working days through our group network. Non-stock and made-to-order items depend on the manufacturer’s lead time, which we tell you at quotation rather than after the order.
Do you help reduce the number of products we buy?
Yes, and it is usually the most valuable thing we do. A fabrication shop that has grown over fifteen years typically carries duplicate electrodes, three hydraulic grades where two would serve, and a grease for every machine that ever came with one. We map machines and joints against products and propose a consolidated schedule. Fewer SKUs means less stock capital, fewer wrong issues at the store window, and fewer part-used drums going off in the yard.
What is the difference between weld-overlay wear plate and hardfacing in place?
Hardfacing in place rebuilds a worn surface with a deposited alloy and suits components you can access, position and re-weld — chutes, guides, roll shells. Weld-overlay clad plate is bought pre-hardfaced and cut and bolted in, which suits flat panels and liners where downtime is the expensive part. As a rule of thumb, if you are hardfacing the same wear point more than twice a year, clad plate or a ceramic-lined section will cost less over the year even though the first invoice is larger.
Do you supply fire protection for a fabrication shop, or only for refineries?
Both. As authorised distributor for HD Fire Protect we supply sprinklers, deluge valves, foam systems and monitors for industrial occupancies, sized against IS 15105 for sprinkler system design and IS 9972 for sprinkler heads. In a fabrication shop the areas that actually need attention are the oil store, the paint or powder-coat booth and the gas manifold, rather than the welding bays themselves.
Send us your machine list and your WPS
We will come back with a consolidated consumable and fluid schedule for the whole shop, quoted by designation with the manufacturer’s datasheet attached to every line. No charge, and no obligation to buy the schedule from us.
