Mining & Quarry Supplies — India

A mine or quarry loses money in two places: a crusher that is down, and a wear part that was replaced when it could have been rebuilt. We supply both sides of that — the greases, gear oils and hydraulics that keep the plant turning, and the hardfacing alloys, clad wear plate and ceramic lining that make the wear parts last. Plus the fire protection a conveyor gallery needs and the surge protection a remote substation needs.

Why Mines and Quarries Consolidate Here

One Vendor for Lubrication and Wear

Crusher greases, screen bearings, gear oils, hydraulics, open gear compound, hardfacing consumables, clad wear plate, ceramic-lined chutes, conveyor fire protection and surge protection on one purchase order. At a site an hour or more from the nearest industrial town, halving the number of suppliers you chase is worth more than a few rupees a litre.

Wear Advice Before the Order, Not After

Deposit hardness alone does not choose a hardfacing alloy — impact energy, substrate, layer count and whether the part will ever be re-welded all change the answer. A crusher hammer, a chute liner and a screen deck fail differently. We will look at the worn part and recommend, and say plainly when clad plate or a ceramic-lined section is cheaper over a year than hardfacing the same point every quarter.

Greases Chosen for Dust, Water and Shock

Crusher and screen bearings do not fail from lack of grease; they fail from the wrong thickener washing out or the wrong base oil shearing down under shock. We quote by thickener class and base-oil viscosity against the actual duty, and we will tell you when the cheaper lithium grease is genuinely adequate.

Bulk Logistics to Remote Sites

Bulk warehouse in Secunderabad dispatching drums, 20 L pails, IBCs and tankers to sites across the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh mineral belt, and pan-India through our group network. Consolidated deliveries timed to planned shutdowns rather than to our despatch convenience.

Consumables Quoted by Designation

Every product we quote carries its manufacturer designation and the maker’s datasheet — Zedalloy for hardfacing, Balmerol CCSM HT for the wet and shock-loaded points, Veedol Amaclac for open gearing. If we cannot name the grade and show its published figures, we tell you it is sourced rather than dressing it up.

GeM and PSU Documentation

GeM and Udyam registered. Batch certificates of analysis, test certificates, MSDS, OEM authorisation letters and BIS conformance documentation with despatch — relevant for coal, lignite and mineral PSUs and for contractors working on their sites.

What We Supply a Mine or Quarry

Crusher and Screen Greases

The high-load, wet, dusty, shock-loaded points. Balmerol CCSM HT calcium sulfonate complex where heat, water washout and impact arrive together — crusher mainshafts, screen bearings, apron feeders. Balmerol Liprex EP Series and Balmerol MP 3 (N) lithium grease for conveyor idlers, pulleys and general plant. Balmerol Autoplex LC lithium complex for higher-temperature duty. Kixx GREASE EP 0, 1 and 2 for centralised systems, Kixx GREASE MOLY EP 2 where sliding contact and shock demand a solid lubricant, and Kixx GREASE LIPLEX 2 and Kixx MP 3 across general points.

Open Gear and Wire Rope

Veedol Amaclac 79 and Amaclac 85 — high-viscosity bituminous compounds published by Veedol for lubricating open gears and wire ropes, with applications including bull gears, crusher drives, heavily loaded couplings and the slew-ring gears of converters, cranes and crushers. Applied by spray, drip or brush according to the drive. Where the duty is a girth gear rather than open spur gearing, Veedol’s Alicom Girth 0 Pro lithium complex grease is the product they publish for that service, and we quote it as such.

Gearboxes and Drives

Crusher, mill, conveyor and stacker-reclaimer drives on Balmerol Protomac SP Series or Veedol Apreslube, both ISO VG 68 through 1000. Both meet IS 8406 for enclosed industrial gear oils and are published against DIN 51517 Part 3, ISO 12925-1 CKC/CKD and the DIN 51354 FZG scuffing test, with Protomac SP additionally carrying ASTM D2782 Timken EP data — which is the data a drive maker’s warranty department actually reads.

Hydraulics

Crusher adjustment and clamping circuits, hydraulic breakers, excavator and loader circuits on site, screen tensioning and chute gates. Balmerol Protomac H (H-32 through H-460) or Balmerol Protomac HLP 32/46/68, Veedol Avalon HLP 32/46/68 — whose datasheet cites IS 11656, DIN 51524 Part 2 HLP, Bosch Rexroth RD 90220, Eaton and Parker HF-0/1/2 — or Kixx HYDRO HD and Kixx HYDRO AW. For equipment that starts cold at dawn and runs hot by afternoon, Kixx HVL ISO 46/68 is the high-viscosity-index option that keeps the pump happy at both ends of the day.

Hardfacing — Ador Fontech Zedalloy

Zedalloy hardfacing electrodes and flux-cored wires for crusher hammers and blow bars, cone liners, jaw plates, roll shells, screen decks, chute and hopper liners, bucket and grab edges, dozer and loader wear surfaces. Grade selection depends on impact against abrasion — a hammer taking heavy impact wants a different alloy from a chute liner seeing pure sliding abrasion. We quote the grade with the manufacturer’s current datasheet, including its published deposit hardness, attached to the quotation.

Clad Wear Plate and Ceramic Lining

Weld-overlay clad plate — a mild-steel substrate carrying a chromium-carbide overlay — cut and bolted or welded into chutes, hoppers, cyclones, skirt boards and transfer points. Alumina-ceramic-lined steel pipe, elbows and panels for pneumatic conveying, slurry lines, fines returns and high-velocity transfer points. As a rule of thumb, if a wear point is being rebuilt more than twice a year, lining or cladding it once costs less over the year even though the first invoice is larger.

Plant Fabrication and Repair Consumables

Site welding for structures, chutes, screen frames and conveyor gantries: Ador Superbond E6013 and Supabase E7018 for structural repair, Topstar 140 E7024 for heavy downhand deposition, Automig MIG wire and Tigfil TIG filler for the workshop, Automelt submerged-arc wire and flux for shop fabrication of chutes and frames, plus gouging carbons and Ador King Cut profile-cutting consumables.

Compressors, Machine Shop and Ancillaries

Site compressors on Kixx Compressor Oil 68 or Kixx Comsyn ISO 46/68 PAO synthetic where the compressor runs continuously. Workshop machine tools on Kixx WAY LUBE ISO 68/220 or Veedol Anodrip slideway oil, with Veedol Solucut, Veedol Adacut and Kixx CUTTING OIL SL for machining and repair work.

Conveyor Fire and Substation Surge Protection

A conveyor gallery carrying coal or a fines belt in a dry quarry is a real fire risk, and a belt fire takes the plant out for weeks. HD Fire Protect sprinklers, deluge valves, foam systems and monitors for conveyor galleries, transfer houses, oil stores and fuel points, sized against IS 15105 for sprinkler system design and IS 9972 for sprinkler heads. Citel Type 1 and Type 2 surge protective devices to IEC 61643-11 on remote substations, crusher control rooms, weighbridges, belt-weigher instrumentation and PLC panels — remote sites with long overhead runs take a great deal of lightning and switching activity.

Where It Goes on Site

Drilling, Blasting and Loading

Drill rigs, compressors, excavators, front-end loaders, dumpers. Hydraulic oil, gear oil, chassis and pin greases, plus hardfaced or clad bucket edges and teeth protection where ground conditions are abrasive.

Primary Crushing

Jaw and gyratory crushers, apron feeders, grizzlies, rock breakers. Mainshaft and eccentric greases to a calcium sulfonate complex where water and impact combine, hydraulic circuits for adjustment and clamping, and hardfaced or replaced jaw plates and liners.

Secondary and Tertiary Crushing, Screening

Cone and impact crushers, VSI units, vibrating and banana screens, feeders. Screen bearing greases at the shock-loaded end of the range, blow bars and cone liners hardfaced or replaced, screen decks protected, chutes clad or ceramic-lined at the impact points.

Conveying and Material Handling

Belt conveyors, idlers and pulleys, transfer chutes and towers, stackers and reclaimers, tripper cars, silos and bins. Idler and pulley greases, drive gearboxes, open gear compound on the large slew and bull gears, ceramic-lined or clad transfer chutes, and fire protection through the galleries.

Washing, Classification and Fines

Log washers, sand screws, cyclones, hydrocyclones, slurry pumps, thickeners, tailings lines. Wet-duty greases, pump and drive gear oils, and ceramic-lined pipe and elbows where slurry velocity is eating the bends.

Utilities, Workshop and Weighbridge

Substations and switchgear, DG sets, air compressors, the site workshop and machine shop, weighbridge and belt weighers. Compressor oil, machine-shop fluids, and surge protection on the incomer, the weighbridge and the instrumentation, which is the equipment with the longest replacement lead time on a remote site.

Mineral Belts — Our Service Area

The belts below describe where we deliver — they are the mining and quarrying regions inside our service radius, not a customer list. The companies we have supplied are listed on our about page.

  • Singareni coal belt (Telangana): The Godavari valley coalfields around Ramagundam, Kothagudem, Bhupalpally and Manuguru — opencast and underground operations with heavy conveying, crushing and washery plant, plus a large contractor ecosystem.
  • Limestone belt (AP and Telangana): The Tadipatri–Anantapur–Yerraguntla and Macherla–Vishnupuram corridors, where captive limestone quarries feed the cement plants — crushing, screening and long overland conveying.
  • Iron ore and manganese (AP–Karnataka border): The Ballari–Hospet belt and the mineral zones extending across the Karnataka border, with crushing, screening, washing and pellet-feed operations. Supplied via our pan-India network.
  • Granite and dimensional stone (Telangana and AP): The quarrying belts around Karimnagar, Warangal, Ongole and Chimakurthy — wire saws, block handling, primary crushing for aggregate, and a heavy equipment-repair load.
  • Aggregate and construction quarries: Crushed-stone and sand operations around Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and the highway corridors, where plant availability rather than tonnage is usually the constraint.
  • Pan-India mineral supply: Bauxite, lignite, dolomite, laterite and industrial mineral operations elsewhere in India, supplied through our group network with consolidated billing.

Beyond Supply — Technical Services on Site

Lubrication Survey and Consolidated Schedule

Our engineers map every lubrication point on the plant — crusher mainshafts, screen bearings, drive gearboxes, conveyor idlers, open gearing, hydraulics — and produce one document listing the point, the product, the quantity and the interval. Typical outcome on a mid-size crushing plant is a reduction from twenty-five or thirty products to eight or ten. Delivered in ten to fourteen days.

Wear Survey and Rebuild-or-Replace Costing

We walk the plant, photograph and measure the wear points, and cost each one three ways: hardface in place, fit clad plate or ceramic lining, or replace. Some points are genuinely cheaper to replace, and we will say so. The output is a schedule you can plan a shutdown around rather than a sales proposal.

Used-Oil and Grease Analysis

Sample-and-test programme for crusher and mill gear oils, hydraulics and screen greases — viscosity, acid number, particle count, water content, wear-metal trending, grease oxidation and contamination state. Quarterly reports timed so that findings land before your planned outage, not after it.

Centralised Lubrication System Support

Advice on grease selection for automatic and centralised systems, where pumpability at the site’s worst ambient matters as much as film strength. A grease that is right at the bearing and wrong in a 40-metre line is a false economy that shows up as dry bearings.

Conveyor Fire Protection Sizing

From your gallery and transfer-house layout we produce an equipment schedule against IS 15105 and IS 9972, so what goes into the tender is what an inspector will accept. Galleries, transfer houses, oil stores and fuel points are the areas that matter.

Remote Site Surge Protection Survey

Remote sites with long overhead distribution take a great deal of lightning and switching activity, and the equipment it kills — crusher control PLCs, belt weighers, weighbridge electronics — is the equipment with the longest lead time. We survey what is worth protecting, specify Citel Type 1 and Type 2 devices to IEC 61643-11, and note what does not need it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which grease for a crusher mainshaft?

The controlling factors are shock load, water ingress and dust, not just temperature. Calcium sulfonate complex is the thickener class that holds a film under impact and resists water washout, which is why we quote Balmerol CCSM HT for crusher mainshafts, eccentrics and screen bearings. On drier, cooler, less shock-loaded points — conveyor idlers and pulleys — a lithium EP grease such as Balmerol Liprex EP, Balmerol MP 3 (N) or Kixx GREASE EP 2 is entirely adequate and costs less. Using the premium grease everywhere is a common and expensive habit.

What do you supply for open gear lubrication?

Veedol publish Amaclac 79 and Amaclac 85 — high-viscosity bituminous compounds for open gears and wire ropes, with published applications including bull gears, crusher drives, heavily loaded couplings and the slew-ring gears of converters, cranes and crushers. Applied by spray, drip or brush. If your application is specifically a rotary kiln girth gear rather than open spur gearing, the product Veedol publish for that duty is Alicom Girth 0 Pro, a lithium complex grease — a different product for a different service, and worth getting right.

When is hardfacing cheaper than replacing the part?

The honest rule of thumb: if the replacement part costs more than about fifty thousand rupees and the wear is on a defined surface rather than through the body of the component, rebuilding is usually the cheaper route and typically restores a substantial fraction of original service life. Below that, or where the component is distorted, cracked through or dimensionally beyond recovery, replacement wins. Downtime matters too — if hardfacing means an extra shift of plant outage, the arithmetic can flip. We cost it both ways and let you choose.

Clad wear plate or hardfacing in place — how do I decide?

Hardfacing in place suits components you can access, position and weld — roll shells, hammers, guides. Clad plate suits flat panels and liners where downtime is the expensive part, because it is cut, drilled and bolted in during a short outage. Ceramic lining suits high-velocity sliding abrasion with low impact — pneumatic conveying lines, slurry bends, fines returns — where it will outlast steel by a wide margin, but it will not survive heavy impact. The practical test is frequency: a wear point rebuilt more than twice a year is a lining or cladding candidate.

What ISO grade gear oil for a crusher drive?

Crusher and mill drives commonly run ISO VG 220, 320 or 460 depending on the reducer, the ambient and the drive maker’s recommendation — read the gearbox plate before anything else. Balmerol Protomac SP Series and Veedol Apreslube both cover ISO VG 68 through 1000, meet IS 8406 for enclosed industrial gear oils, and are published against DIN 51517 Part 3, ISO 12925-1 CKC/CKD and the DIN 51354 FZG scuffing test, with Protomac SP also carrying ASTM D2782 Timken data. Those are the figures a drive maker’s warranty department will look at.

Do you deliver to remote mine sites?

Yes. We dispatch drums, 20 L pails, IBCs and tankers from our Secunderabad warehouse across the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh mineral belts, and pan-India through our group network. For remote sites we prefer to consolidate against your planned shutdown schedule rather than send frequent part-loads — it costs less and it puts the material on site before you need it rather than during the outage.

Is conveyor fire protection actually necessary in a quarry?

In a dry aggregate quarry with a short belt run, often not. In a coal or lignite operation, in an enclosed gallery, or anywhere a long belt runs through a transfer house with accumulated fines, it is one of the more serious risks on the site — a belt fire propagates along the gallery and takes the plant out for weeks, and the insurance position afterwards is rarely comfortable. We size an equipment schedule against IS 15105 and IS 9972 from your layout and let the risk decide, rather than selling a system into a site that does not need one.

Why does a remote site need surge protection more than a plant in town?

Long overhead distribution runs across open ground pick up both direct strikes and induced transients from nearby activity, and remote sites usually have weaker earthing than an urban industrial estate. What gets destroyed is the electronics — crusher control PLCs, belt weighers, weighbridge cards, VFDs — and on a remote site those carry the longest replacement lead times, so a hundred-rupee transient becomes a week of lost production. Citel Type 1 devices at the incomer and Type 2 at sub-distribution, both to IEC 61643-11, cover the realistic cases without gold-plating.
