East Africa is one of the shortest sea routes from India’s west coast, and India is already a major source of industrial goods for the region. Where a country checks conformity before shipment — Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Nigeria do — we arrange the inspection in India before the goods are loaded. Lubricants
Hydraulic, gear, compressor and engine-room oils and greases for mining, construction, quarrying, sugar and agro-processing plants — specified for heat and dust, with the test reports conformity inspections ask for.
Metalworking and process fluids
Coolants, neat cutting oils, forming oils, rust preventives and industrial cleaners, consolidated into the same container as the lubricants.
Welding consumables and cutting
Electrodes, MIG/MAG wires, TIG rods and SAW flux quoted against the AWS or EN ISO classification you specify; plasma and CNC cutting equipment.
Fire and surge protection
Hydrant and landing valves, hoses, sprinklers and foam equipment; Type 1, 2 and 3 surge protection devices, solar PV and data-line protectors.

Kenya
Ports and routes: Mombasa
Regulated products need a Certificate of Conformity issued before shipment under the PVoC programme by a KEBS-appointed inspection body. We book the inspection in India and hand over the reports and samples it needs.
Tanzania
Ports and routes: Dar es Salaam
Regulated products need a PVoC Certificate of Conformity under the Tanzania Bureau of Standards programme, issued before shipment.
Uganda
Ports and routes: via Mombasa or Dar es Salaam
Regulated products go under the UNBS PVoC programme; we ship to the transit port of your choice with the certificate in the document set.
Nigeria
Ports and routes: Lagos (Apapa, Tin Can), Onne
The importer holds the SONCAP Product Certificate and opens Form M through its bank before shipment; we arrange the shipment inspection for the SONCAP certificate.
Ghana
Ports and routes: Tema, Takoradi
Standard Certificate of Origin. Tell us the importer’s standards and labelling requirements at enquiry and we build them into the quotation.
South Africa
Ports and routes: Durban, Cape Town
Standard Certificate of Origin. Electrical products that fall under a compulsory specification need approval from the NRCS before sale; we provide the test reports the importer files.
Mauritius
Ports and routes: Port Louis
The India–Mauritius CECPA has been in force since 1 April 2021; covered lines enter at a preferential rate with the CECPA Certificate of Origin.
What changes for an order to Africa
- Conformity before shipment. PVoC (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda) and SONCAP (Nigeria) inspections happen in India, before loading. Allow for this in the delivery date; we schedule it as soon as the order is confirmed.
- Heat and dust. Mining, quarrying and agro-processing sites need oils and greases chosen for high ambient temperature and dusty air, and seals and filters that suit them. We specify for the site.
- Mixed containers and transhipment. Most industrial lubricants are not dangerous goods for sea freight, so oils, welding consumables and fire equipment can share one container, including on transhipment routes to West African ports.
Documents with every shipment
- Commercial invoice and packing list, drum and pallet marks as you specify
- Certificate of Origin — the preferential certificate wherever an agreement with India applies, otherwise the standard chamber certificate
- Safety data sheet for every item; test certificates or certificates of analysis where applicable
- UN-approved packing and declarations for anything hazard-classified
- Incoterms — EXW, FOB, CFR or CIF
- Payment — Advance TT or a letter of credit at sight; invoicing in US dollars. See export payment terms.

Questions from Africa buyers
Can you ship to Kenya and Tanzania with the PVoC certificate?
Yes. For regulated products the Certificate of Conformity is issued before shipment by the appointed inspection body. We arrange the inspection in India and provide the test reports and safety data sheets it needs, so the certificate travels with the documents.
Can you supply to Nigeria under SONCAP?
Yes. The importer holds the SONCAP Product Certificate and opens Form M before shipment; we arrange the shipment inspection so the SONCAP certificate is issued for the consignment.
Do goods from India pay lower duty in Mauritius?
Covered lines do. The India–Mauritius CECPA has been in force since 1 April 2021, and covered goods enter at a preferential rate when the shipment carries the CECPA Certificate of Origin. Send your HS codes and we will confirm which lines qualify.
Do you sell on open account or credit?
No. Export orders are paid by advance TT or by a letter of credit at sight, invoiced in US dollars. We confirm the price, Incoterm and shipment date in a proforma invoice before you pay.
Are you an authorised distributor for any brand in Africa?
No. We are an Indian supplier exporting what we source in India, and we do not hold distribution rights for any brand in Africa. Where a maker restricts export of a product, we tell you at quotation rather than after the order.
