What it is
A heavy-duty anti-wear hydraulic fluid built on Group II+ base stocks with a premium anti-wear additive package, for high-pressure systems on mobile and stationary equipment. It is the grade in the Kixx hydraulic range that carries both the long approvals list and a published oxidation life.

The number that matters here is 4,500 hours
HD is formulated on Group II+ base stocks, and GS Caltex publish a TOST oxidation life over 4,500 hours on the ASTM D943 test. That is the figure that decides how long the charge lasts before oxidation products start varnishing servo valves and shortening filter life — and it is the figure most hydraulic oil sheets in this price band do not quote.
It is also the grade carrying the approvals a machine builder is most likely to name: Denison HF-0, Vickers M-2952-S and I-286-S, Cincinnati Milacron P-68, P-69 and P-70, Mannesmann Rexroth RE 07 075, Bosch RE 90220, US Steel 126 and 127, and DIN 51524 Part 2 HLP. If a manual names one of those, this is the grade to quote.
